SPIKE ISLAND.

Spike Island, a film about the power The Stone Roses held over the British 90s generation. Directed by Matt Whitecross, this film brings you an insight into the journey of a upcoming band who will do anything just to see their favorite The Stone Roses, in concert. The film is set in Manchester and with that we are exposed to the Northern swagger of an overload of Adidas, trackies and of course the brilliant northern tongue and it was released on 21st of June. The Stone Roses back in the 90s did have a concert at Spike Island, on May of 1990, which is even more radical.
This film is a slight recreation/depiction the director and his team have to recreate a whole massive gig, apart from this being really cool it might be hard to recreate the atmosphere but from the trailer that doesn't seem to be an issue. As a British kid I think this film is a beautiful film which tampers with the nostalgic qualities of not just the individuals but a whole nation, which as a director is an excellent ability to have. I'm in love with this film, if you like films like This Is England then you will like this, this film pays homage to everything British/English. Watch the trailer.

ALUNAGEORGE.

I first heard about AulunaGeorge back when they collaborated with Disclosure on their track White Noise, which was an awesome collaboration. I loved the track it was something totally fresh from all of the other things on the radio at the time. With the presence of Disclosure and AlunaGeorge the genre of electronic is making a swift comeback, the tracks that are being created are beautiful and are great for a summer playlist. I am fully in love with AlunaGeorge every track they have released has been stellar, I love Aluna's voice and with the combination of George's rad beats, a perfect harmony is created. Below are some of my favorite tracks.

KATIE EARY.

KATIE EARY.

Katie Eary [Pt.2]

(IMAGES ARE NOT MINE, COURTESY OF KATIE EARY)

Katie Eary, the electric British designer has been on the fashion scene since 2010, her clothes have been worn by Kanye West, Rihanna, Frank Ocean, Jaden Smith and many more. Since 2010 I've been watching out for Ms Eary, the thing I most admire about her clothes are the vibrant colors and eye-popping designs, her clothes hold psychedelia traits to them and not many designers are doing what Ms Katie Eary is doing.

Katie's strongest strength is her menswear clothes but she also has a womenswear line, as I am a lady, I should be interested in the womenswear, but the menswear is just so attractive don't get me wrong the womenswear it's just not really my style. I also love the urban wear streaks to Eary's line, her choice in Jordan footwear is just a top-notch decision, my favorite pieces are the Black Arowana Sweater, Golden Gate Long sleeve Neoprene Sweater and the Gold Fish Jeans, she is also know for her Screaming Cheetah's  T-shirt which was worn by Rihanna. Lads Katie also has some great decks for your skateboards, pimp out yo skateboards!

Eary's pieces are quite expensive pricing in at £300+ but they are totally worth it, they are pieces which are guaranteed to improve everybody's and anybody's wardrobe.

MUSIC: DISCLOSURE - WHEN A FIRE STARTS TO BURN.

Disclosure, a British electronic duo appeared on the scene properly in 2012 with their remix of Jessie Ware's track Running then expanded with their track White Noise featuring AlunaGeorge. The duo, two brothers Guy and Howard have created perfection between literally I am in love with every track they produce, their new track now this certainly a beauty. This track is called When a Fire Starts to Burn, it is stunning and the video is something else, literally I laughed and loved it, this is their best video yet. I congratulate the director immensely Bo Mirosseni, the video has everything, it's lively a southern type baptists church, it has snakes, dancing old people and arms in the air! 10/10 for this video, check it.
